Siamo una Day Spa locale a conduzione familiare a Bali, owned and directed by Balinese Spa pioneer Ibu Indri. We are not in the mass market, we provide a service for people who care. Thanks to our loyal customers and committed staff, we have established Spa Sekar Jagat as a brand among thousands of spas and massage places in Bali. 

Alla fine degli anni Novanta, ben prima del boom delle spa, un momento in cui i semplici saloni di massaggio a Bali erano ancora chiamati “saloni di massaggio” (non “spa”), e quando gli hotel a 5 stelle stavano appena iniziando ad aggiungere una spa alle loro strutture (risultando in “resort and spa”) Ibu Indri studiava la storia delle spa e dei massaggi indonesiani e fondò nell'anno 2001 Sekar Jagat Spa Nusa Dua, focusing on proper Balinese spa procedures. From now on, Sekar Jagat Spa in Nusa Dua was one of the very few companies spearheading the development of authentic Balinese Day Spa on the island of Bali.

Nel 2005, abbiamo fondato la nostra Corso di Spa Balinese, through which we have taught more than 1,000 spa professionals from all over the world, offering individual one-to-one training in massage techniques and the application of local day spa treatments. Oggi, svolgiamo un ruolo significativo nell'impostare gli standard per i Balinese Spa.

The owner of Sekar Jagat Day Spa, Ibu Indri, also graduated with an international spa diploma from CIBTAC (Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) in London, covering anatomy and physiology, body massage, and spa therapy. She also completed intensive training with Guy Dumont (France) in massaggio linfodrenante.

In 2011, we opened Ristorante fronte mare Bawang Merah, offering premium seafood and Balinese specialities at the beach of Jimbaran Bay. In 2015, we added our catering service: Rayunan Bali Catering. Seafood, Balinese, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals.

Our guests

Our guests are connoisseurs, spa professionals, occasional spa-goers, couples/honeymooners, single travellers and sometimes small groups, coming from all over the world and all walks of life. Many are returning customers and regulars. Most people know us through the Internet or good books, and many come by recommendation from friends or colleagues. By the way, those who follow touts will end up at other places 😉

Four private, spacious, semi-roofed treatment rooms for singles and couples, equipped with open-air baths, hot and cold water, and a small, beautiful garden, provide the ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Plus seven comfortable multifunctional spaces for hair creambaths, facials, and massages in our salon. Enjoy superior spa and massages based on traditional Indonesian techniques and recipes using fresh leaves, herbs and plants, fragrant blossoms and essences. A fully trained staff and a pleasant atmosphere ensure an excellent time at our day spa. The massage oil used is of excellent quality as are all our products. Most of the materials we use (massage oils, lulur, boreh, creambath, facials, masks, and wraps) are produced in-house and are of excellent quality.

Spa Restaurant “Jaansan Bali”

After the spa, stay for lunch or dinner, or just have a drink at our spa’s restaurant, Jaansan Bali. We will adjust the transfer service accordingly for you. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes: local cuisine, seafood, vegetarian options, duck, chicken, and beef. All dishes are pork-free. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner in a relaxed yet elegant ambience. It is a cosy family restaurant, also perfect for couples and friends.
