The foot reflexology massage is based on the assumption that every organ interacts with our feet via reflex pathways. According to this, the individual reflex zones on the soles of the feet are assigned to specific organs and tissue.
The masseuse applies the fingers to these reflex zones, massages and expresses them – and in this way exerts stimuli. These are supposed to have a positive effect on the respective organ: increase its blood circulation and stimulate the self-healing powers.
Reflex zones can be found on feet, hands, head, ears and the whole body. The treatment of the reflex zones on the foot is particularly popular because it is said to have a holistic effect.
